Link to: Edit your Site or App  |  Delete a Site or App  |  Activate a Site or App

Add a Site or App

  1. Login to your account
  2. Click Add Site/App button

Enter Site Info

  1. Enter your Site information:
    • Type of Site (website, iPhone App, iPad App, Android App, etc)
    • The page views per month (how many ads per month your site/app would display)
    • A Brief Description of your Site or App
    • The URL for your Site or App
    • If your site Allows Adult Ads.
    • If your site Contains Adult Content

Enter Ad Spot Info

  1. Enter your Ad Spot information. Control the type of ads that appear on your site/app by customizing your ad spot settings. Better measure your revenue performance by appropriately classifying each ad spot.
    • Select the Ad Size relevant for each spot.
      • Note: For Websites, Banners (all sizes) refers to standard MMA ad sizes (300X50; 216X36; 168X28; 120X20)
    • Enter a Page/Location.
      • Provide the name of the page where the spot will appear. Keep it short by using a one or two word description. Examples: "Home", "Weather", "Sign Up".
    • Select Spot Categories (choose up to five) (List of eligible categories)
      • Choose a Primary Category: the category that best describes the content of your site/app.
      • Choose Secondary Categories (up to four): any additional categories that also describe your site/app.
      • When you select the right categories you increase ad relevancy and thus improve your revenue opportunities. Advertisers often choose to allocate their advertising spend to the categories in our network that are most relevant to their business. Your site/app will be more desirable to an advertiser when it is well categorized, enabling better results with more targeted and relevant ads.
    • Select a Placement. Classify where on a page you'll install an ad spot (e.g., Top, Bottom, etc of the page).
    • An Ad Spot Name is auto-generated for you (recommended). But you can revise it.
      • Auto-generated names make it easy for you to maintain a consistent naming convention for your ad spots. This will make it simpler for you to find and analyze your ad spots, particularly if you have many sites and/or ad spots.
      • However, you can easily edit an ad spot. Simply click on the name in order to revise it.
    • Click Add a Spot if you wish to create a second, third, etc ad spot. Repeat for each additional ad spot you need to create.
    • Q: How many ad spots should you create?
    • A: Create as many as are needed in order to properly classify your site or app.
      • For example, lets say ads will appear on three different pages on your site (the Home page, a Movies page, and a Celebrities page). And lets say you've allocated space for ads to appear on the Top of each page as well as the Bottom of each page.
      • Thus, you would create six ad spots for your site. That is, two spots for each page (a top and a bottom spot) for all three pages. Specifically, you'd create these spots: "Home+Top", "Home+Bottom", "Movies+Top", "Movies+Bottom", "Celebrities+Top", and "Celebrities+Bottom".
      • Doing so will allow you to better control the relevancy of ads that appear in those spots. And it will make it easier to better measure and analyze the performance of each individual ad spot since they'll be appropriately classified.
      • Not sure if you'll need more spots in the future? No problem. You can easily create more ad spots for this site/app in the future.
  2. Click Continue
  3. You have successfully added a new Site or App to your account.
  4. Next steps. In order for ads to start appearing on your site/app, the following must take place:
    • Our editorial team must review and approve your site/app. Typically within 1-2 business days.

      • Ad Spot Name.
        • We recommend you maintain a consistent naming convention for your ad spots. This will make it simpler for you to find and analyze your ad spots, particularly if you have many sites and/or ad spots.
        • Recommended naming convention: "Page"+"Placement"+"Ad Size".
          • For example, if your ad spot is be installed on your home page, at the top of the page, and fit a medium rectangle-sized ad, then we recommend using this name: Home+Top+MedRect.
          • Or if your ad spot is be installed on your "weather" page, at the bottom of the page, and fit standard banner-sized ads, then we recommend using this name: Weather+Bottom+Banner.
      • Spot Categories (choose up to five) (List of eligible categories)
        • Choose a Primary Category: the category that best describes the content of your site/app.
        • Choose Secondary Categories (up to four): any additional categories that also describe your site/app.
        • When you select the right categories you increase ad relevancy and thus improve your revenue opportunities. Advertisers often choose to allocate their advertising spend to the categories in our network that are most relevant to their business. Your site/app will be more desirable to an advertiser when it is well categorized, enabling better results with more targeted and relevant ads.
    • You may not update these spot attributes: Ad Size, Page/Location, or Placement.
      • Q: Have a spot with incorrect/missing attributes? What are your options?
      • A: You can delete this spot and then create a new spot to replace it. In the new spot you can specify all the necessary attributes, including: Ad Size, Page/Location, or Placement.
        • Note: This will require that you update the ad code in your site/app. You will need to update it with the new spot alias/ID associated with the new ad spot you created.
    • To create more spots, click to Add a Spot. Enter the required information. (find out more)
